A video game character named "Build-it Bill" tries to become popular by finding someone to win a trophy.
Build-it Bill is Way Studios Entertainment's most longest in development projects. The idea was first put in December 2012 partially based on a dream. The movie was completed on Thanksgiving 2013.
The film was made entirely with computers. The drawing and animations being made on a program called Scratch. There are also many live action bits with puppets and some clips from other movies used.
Before the idea of Scratch being the animation source, We first thought of stop-motion with drawings sent to computers with printers. But soon we then used Scratch as the program. To practice, the studio made a movie called "The Monkeys Adventures of James and the Giant Peach". Which is about this monkey who goes on a submarine with a crew of stickmen and Spongebob fish. What you say, don't ask. There are also many plans for a sequel to come out during the winter called "The Monkeys Adventures of Wakkos Wish". Where the monkey goes on Christmas vacation with a cast of many friends. Including some Build-it Bill characters! Both Monkey movies where never released to the public and where just a practice for Build-it Bill.
There where also many other release dates for Build-it Bill that soon got cancelled. There was some for Spring, Summer, And soon the release date was officially Thanksgiving.
The movie is a spin-off to Walt Disney Animation's Wreck-it Ralph. That meant the Build-it Bill scenes where at the same time as the Wreck-it Ralph scenes. This was a very old concept for movies that took back all the way from when Way was first established in 2008. Where there was ideas like Magic Tree House in Up, and The Oobes in Magic Treehouse.
Speaking of Oobes, "Oobes" are these weird hand-puppet things that first appreared in "Oobi" and "The Oobe Show". By the way, its pronounced Ooo-Bee. Also "Oobi" is a preschool show. You can find episodes here. "The Oobe Show" was a much controversial show that first aired in 2009 on the Way network.
The movie has 5 main characters. Build-it Bill, Mayor, Mayors Wife, Dellon Dook, and Patrick Star. Since the game takes place in a construction site in Townsville, the city where The Powerpuff Girls takes place in, Mayor is a completely different one instead of the pickle-loving mayor played by Tom Kenny. Instead, Build-it Bills Mayor is the mayor of the construction site. Dellon Dook is one of the most popular characters by Way. Even more popular than any "The Oobe Show" character. Why? We have no clue. Patrick Star is from the Nickelodeon series "Spongebob Squarepants". The reason why he is in this film is that he appeared in the dream that made Build-it Bill.
